May the Fourth Be With You. Wild Surge's 15th Issue is here.

Wild Surge's 15th Issue theme is Star Wars and what better day to release it then May the 4th.

Star Wars goes beyond the cinema more than any other movie franchise. From games, to toys, to books, to comics, to cartoons, to now even live action television shows and off-broadway musicals, the franchise has expanded beyond George Lucas’ dreams and into the creativity of countless individuals who make that galaxy which is far, far away their own.

The year 2019 is shaping up to be a big year for the franchise with the final chapter that started back in 1977 set to hit theatres in December. Add in not one but two Star Wars games being released this year, as well as a new television series debuting on Disney+, Wild Surge thought it’d be a good idea to pay homage to everything Star Wars.

We look at the Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition server Legends of the Old Republic that reworks the entire game into the Star Wars universe. If there is any take away from this issue, it is this. Go check out the amazing work and community @zunath and his team created. I personally was blown away.

@typo_tilly ranks each movie in order and let @Rik_Kirtaniya review Knights of the Old Republic, having never experiencing Star Wars before.

@Fandraxx compares the scores of iconic Star Wars movies as well as gives his impression of Iron Maiden’s Somewhere In Time album.

We also look at Star War toy’s documentaries and how the toys have shaped culture (and have made more money) as much as the movies. Oh, and Corpse’s Corner returns with a special guest. There’s more, but we’ll let you read it for yourself.

Enjoy.

Custom NPC Portraits Masterthread [Spoilers, obviously]

Hello everyone :) First of all, I am aware, that there already exist some threads about custom NPC portraits but I found them all to be rather confusing, so here is my attempt to make a proper masterthread where everyone can easily find whatever portrait(s) they want to use for their game. This thread is under constant construction! That's why I highly encourage you to post your own works and finds here (don't forget to source), so that I can add them to the startpost. So check back once in a while, in case there may be the perfect portrait you have always been looking for ;) Here are a few highly subjective* "quality ensurance" guidelines: 1. The portraits shouldn't clash too much with the in-game art styles (i.e. too cartoony, cell-shading, b/w, etc.) --- Exception: Complete packs with portraits for most/all NPC companions 2. No simple "facelifts" (meaning that they are only mildly photoshopped versions of the official ones; it would be nice though if someone else could make a different masterthread for these) 3. No obvious "facesteals" (i.e. popular actors, characters from other media, etc.) and joke portraits 4. They should resemble the original designs to at least some degree (i.e. don't just suggest any random drow portrait for Viconia) 5. They need to fit size wise. If half the face would be cut off or there would be too much negative space for the in-game version, it's out. *that means that there are almost certainly going to be folks who will disagree with my decisions on wether an image goes into the gallery or not Depending on how this thread goes, I might sharpen or lighten the guidelines on the go.

This episode features an interview with Brent Knowles where he gives insights on a range of game design issues and talks about Axis & Allies Online, Baldur's Gate games, Neverwinter Nights, and more, including:

* Why CRPGs should let you control a 6-person party!
* The benefits of small vs. large development teams
* Why CRPGs should be about balance, with no one element (combat, story, characters, etc.) standing out.
* Why AD&D 2nd edition was tough to implement and the advantages of 5e
* Why you might want to reconsider having a voice actor for your player character
* Why Neverwinter Nights Toolset is still better than Unity or other tools for prototyping a modern CRPG
* Are we just getting too old to appreciate modern triple-A CRPGs?

All you wanted to know about the next Beamdog's project

I think the time has come for a new "All you wanted to know about" thread. Brus here suggested we should call it Project Fireball, X,Storm,Severance,Sanctuary,Hurricane,Realm Z,Ivory Plane,Sapphire, Soul Nexus etc. I agree because right now we still haven't heard an official word defining which particular project is in the works. But a certain project is indeed in the works, there's no doubt about that. In the end of 2015, there was a meeting between Beamdog and WotC, after which plans for the next years became known in-house. https://twitter.com/theandrewfoley/status/675208395121680384 In December 2015, the main site of Beamdog offered 3 new vacant jobs, with the description that "more original content is on the horizon." David Gaider soon joined the team. According to Andrew Foley, Beamdog are currently (as of April, 2016) further ahead on developing it than they were on SoD in January 2014. Phillip Daigle said in an interview to RPGamer in March, 2016: "We'd like to continue working with Wizards of the Coast on Dungeons & Dragons titles. We love D&D and we love making D&D games. At the same time, however, we're also going to be developing our own projects and brands. For now I can't reveal anything, but going forward you'll see both great licensed and original IP projects from Beamdog." http://www.rpgamer.com/games/dnd/bgenh/bgenhsodint.html It reads that they know already there will be both licensed and original IP projects. Here're the main versions and evidence presented: Version 1. PSTEE (Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition) 1. https://twitter.com/TrentOster/status/183904243772698625 It's a tweet by Trent Oster from March, 2012. 2. "I've been getting a lot of requests for a revisit of [Planescape:] Torment," Cameron Tofer told http://www.shacknews.com/. "We would love to have the opportunity to do it." It's a news bit from March, 2012. 3. "Hmm. We have a Planescape.zip file here that seems to have a bunch of source codey stuff in it ;-) -Trent" It's a comment by Trent Oster from August, 2012. 4. The IP regarding Planescape: Torment is the property of Hasbro, and we all know Beamdog are good friends of Hasbro. 5. WotC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, "would absolutely consider licensing out Planescape, or any of their other great D&D IPs, if they were approached with a proposal". It's a quote by WotC from 11/02/2013. So, WotC sees Planescape Torment as one of their D&D IPs. 6. "I'm sure we could add some real value to a PS:T:EE if we were ever able to do it. Make it available on multiple platforms, for instance. It's my favorite game and I hope we get a chance to work on it some day." It's a comment by Amber Scott from March, 2015. 7. In an AMA from 1 year ago, Trent Oster on the question about enhancing IWD2 or PST, mentioned only Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition: "besides from having too many colons in the title, is something we are interested in working on". 8. In a recent interview to Kotaku, Trent Oster admitted (on the possibility of going their own way, making their own universe fantasy universe) that he didn’t want to leave the past behind, not yet. 9. Go to 1:19:30 from the most recent Arv interview with Trent Oster and Phillip Daigle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLfOSI5246w&t=4770 10. Buttercheese (Tari Toons) created a doodle based on that moment, which was retweeted by both by Trent Oster and Phillip Daigle: https://twitter.com/TariToons/status/723565505827737600 11. Chris Avellone, a Lead Designer on PST and a Narrative Consultant for SoD, when answering several questions on http://www.rpgcodex.net/ once said: "Beamdog and Torment possibility: I'd love to if the chance existed." 12. Later this year TToN will be released, which will create a wave of nostalgia for PST, and there probably won't be a better time to release PSTEE. Version 2. A new game 1. "I don't think it's some big secret that we're interested in continuing work on original BG-style games in the future. We love the genre, we love playing the games, and we know how to build them. If we were to make an expansion or DLC for an existing game like BG2EE or IWDEE it would retain the same ruleset as the base game. Any new D&D games that get made would use 5th Edition." It's a comment by Phillip Daigle from January, 2016. 2. "our plans for the future. We want to leave the IE-era games in an excellent state and then move on to something more modern eventually." It's a comment by Phillip Daigle from February, 2016. 3. Andrew Foley in February, 2016, liked this comment: "It (PSTEE) would be nice, but at the moment I would rather see new content such as icewind dale 3 , iwd2 ee with a new expansion or a brand new IE game." 4. The same quote from the recent interview to Kotaku as in the Version 1: "Whereas D&D, I have all that knowledge and if I want some more knowledge I can just go on the internet or pop open a rule book. To me, that’s just the power that D&D has that crafting your own stuff from scratch just cannot have." - it could be just pointing to the fact a new game would be based on D&D, it shouldn't specifically be about PSTEE. 5. In April, 2016, David Gaider tweeted this: https://twitter.com/davidgaider/status/720031143152586752 And Phillip Daigle mentioned that document had something to do with Bhaal: https://twitter.com/daigledopple/status/720032906018627584 6. David Gaider is a Creative Director at Beamdog, so it basically means he has much more ideas than content for an EE. Maybe two projects (an EE of an existing title and a new IP) are being worked on in the same time? Like a new EE for now and a new IP for the more distant future, so that the situation about SoD sales etc could be more clear: In the interview to to RPGamer in March, 2016 Phillip Daigle said: "We've got lots of ideas for spots in the Baldur's Gate series that could be filled in, but we're waiting to see what the reception to Siege of Dragonspear is like before we commit to anything major. First we need to see what the fans want, then we'll look at what we can deliver. We've also got an eye towards the future. The Infinity Engine was built almost 20 years ago and limits us in a lot of ways. We're actively exploring next-gen technology for some potential future games." Version 3. Something else (IWD2EE anyone?) 1. In an interview with http://www.pcgamer.com Trent Oster mentioned: "Icewind Dale II implemented the 3rd Edition rules and has a completely different UI scheme. We're really not sure how deep those changes run," Oster explained. "The move to 3rd Edition rules would invalidate all the character classes and require a pretty thorough rework of the entire game to bring in the features from our Infinity Plus Engine. At minimum, nightmares abound." 2. In an interview with http://venturebeat.com Trent Oster answered this question: "You talked about “nightmares” about the idea of working on enhanced editions for Icewind Dale II and Planescape: Torment. Is this still the case, or have you made any progress on Icewind Dale II at this point?" Trent Oster: "We’ve yet to really dig into them. Torment is probably the easier of the two as the rules are at least similar. Icewind Dale II had a large deviation due to the move to 3rd Edition D&D rules. We’re still working on Infinity as we wrap up the 1.3 update for BGII. After the holidays, we’ll have more time to dig into the possibilities." 3. In the latest AMA an answer on PSTEE or IWD2EE was the same: "We don't announce projects in development, but we do love the Infinity Engine and Forgotten Realms and would like to do more work on these games in the future." "We usually don't comment about games in development, but we have said that we've been building up the capabilities of our team and we love the Forgotten Realms. We'd have to get a concept and bring people on board, but it's something we would love to do in the future."

Would a good gorion's ward raid the catacombs under candlekeep?

I think that actually raiding these would not be done by someone that respects death. But... I'm not totally sure.

It also becomes worse because when I was teleported by Tethoril he asked me to not touch anything and that he was doing a favor to Gorion by saving me. So the question is: would a good charname actually raid these catacombs, or would he avoid it?

What would be the justification used by a CG charname doing it and LG charname doing it?

Can you explain "divinity"?

After you become a divinity and take the portfolio of Bhaal, what happens?

1) How are you supposed to use your powers and what are their limits?
2) Can a good Bhaal give part of his essence to a good Sarevok, if he wanted?
3) How are you going to survive, given that you have no worshippers?
4) Would another good divinity accept you as exarch and follower?
5) And last but not least, if you turn evil, will an Evil Bhaal die in the first week?

Sarevok Stats

Sarevok underpowered

$

Sarevok is typically regarded as one of the better NPCs both for RP reasons and his excellent stats. But I seriously think he's a liability in combat. The problem is that as a pure Fighter, he can't cast Stone/IronSkins. As getting hit is unavoidable in ToB, particularly with SCS, I have sometimes found it a struggle to keep him alive. Yes, he can dish out a lot of damage and has plenty of HP but his survivability is still limited. You could pick Hardiness a lot but that means less GWWs, which are useful for a 2h character. I'm currently playing through ToB on Insanity with SCS and Item Revisions (among other mods). For this playthough, I Keepered Sarevok at the beginning to turn him into a Zerker/Mage. Having Stoneskin has made such a big difference. I'm really not sure how I would have kept him in one piece during the battles against SCS-improved demons dealing double damage if he was just a Fighter. This has made me think that generally speaking, melee in ToB is suicidal for any build that can't cast Stone/IronSkins, with the possible exception of a Monk as their AC can become very low. I've read that the Zerker/Cleric is thought of as a good build but my experience with Sarevok makes me skeptical, particularly as that build won't even be getting Hardiness. Or am I just doing it wrong?

Demographics Poll: What is your nationality?

This is the third in a series of polls to measure the demographics of the Beamdog community (I was just curious). The poll is anonymous by default, but you're welcome to discuss the issue publicly if you like. For the purposes of this poll, consider nationality to mean where you live, where you've lived most of your life, or which nation you owe loyalties to (if they're not all the same, pick whichever criteria are most important to you). Unlike the race/ethnicity poll, this is a function of location rather than your genetics. The other polls are here: Sex/Gender Race/Ethnicity Religion Political Affiliation

Interesting video examination of how to play a paladin in BG

$

Through a post he made over on the Bioware boards, I discovered this series of short videos @algi has on YouTube examining how to play a correct AD&D paladin in BG based on the Paladin's Handbook. It turns out that the game doesn't enforce half of what you're supposed to be doing and how you're supposed to be playing. I found it a fascinating view, and it has completely changed my idea of what a paladin should be in BG. I haven't been doing it right, not even close. I'd like to invite friends from this forum to watch the (short) videos, and discuss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XGsBuyfDkA&index=1&list=PLf41g7oETc4COOSsCq9nOEd8h3k8n67Z7

Is it realistic

$

that if I was playing a chaotic good character, entering houses in baldur's gate city (because you know, most of the content of the city is behind closed doors that you have to unlock) a paladin (member of the party) would tolerate the party entering these houses and maybe working with the evil npcs? Just working, not necessarily joining them (e.g doing the quest for the harper that is in front of the mage of sorceror sundries)

[Bug] Damage stats in inventory and record screens

$

0
The damage stats displayed in the inventory and record screens are wrong. For instance, Frostreaver +3 deals 1d8+3 slashing damage, 1 cold damage and 1 acid damage, i. e., it deals 1d8 +5 or 6-13 damage. However, the damage stat ignores the cold and acid damage, it only takes into account the slashing damage. It looks like this happens with all the weapons that combine several types of damage, one of the damage types are displayed and the others are ignored.

Is there any mod that fixes this? If not, I could try it myself, would it be very difficult to write a fix?

How to get the original games after purchasing the Enhanced Editions on GOG

  1. Have or purchase any of the Enhanced Editions by Beamdog on GOG
  2. Select game in GOG account library (not in GOG Galaxy)
  3. Select "more" -> "serial keys"
  4. On the serial key page, use the link provided to redeem a free copy of the original game
And just in case anyone is confused by the wording of the serial to redeem being named as Enhanced Edition:
Hello, these keys are for the classic editions, they are just named in a bit of a misleading way, as they are bonuses FOR these games - if you enter these pages and click "continue", you can look up the contents of the code before finally redeeming it - or not. Regards, Beta Ray Bill GOG.com Support

The topic has come up recently, and a couple times in the past, regarding the availability of the original games on GOG.
I can't find the original games for download at Steam, GOG, or Gamersgate, however Amazon has the (4) originals for about $10
The reason why they can no longer be found is due to them being merged; while not exactly the same, it's similar, as mentioned before, to the 'Remastered' editions of the Broken Sword games. When you purchase a copy of the Enhanced Edition for Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, or Icewind Dale, there will be a message under the product information in your library. Copies purchased prior to the merge will still be listed in your library. Whether you purchased a copy of the Enhanced Edition before or after the merge, you will be eligible to get a free copy of the original along with the Enhanced Edition. If you select an Enhanced Edition in your games library, you'll see the following message (the example is Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, but applies also to Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition). Note the message at the bottom:
Message from GOG.com Baldur's Gate Classic Edition gift code in now available in the "more" -> "serial keys" section.
Following the instructions here will provide a link to redeem the original, 'classic', version of the game.

Or just straight up Eye of the Beholder IV using 5e rules.

Someone pitch this to WotC already. =) Legend of Grimrock 1&2 have paved the way and showed a modern version of a real time grid based dungeon crawler still works and plays great.

The new twist in addition to the obvious modernizations can be co-op multiplayer.

Any players for that?

Improved scripts for your BG/BG2 playing experience

$
0
0
So a little while back I made a whole bunch of new scripts for the bg games, these scripts are better improvements over the ones available already ( since some of them will only cast/use select spells or abilities, or sometimes just bug out completely and don't work at all) I've tested out some of them so far, and its been a pretty good go, the range script though sometimes is a little tricky, but still works good enough I suppose so here is a breakdown of whats of the scripts and what they do: Melee MeleeP Range - these 3 scripts here are for your main warrior type scripts ( fighters/paladins/rangers/monks and the like) - the warriors will use their special abilities in combat, (berserk/defensive stance/lay on hands/stunning first/ etc..) and I've tried my best to make it so they use them at appropriate times ( for example: berserkers shouldn't be using their rage against gibberlings/kobolds ect) - when it comes to ranger/paladin spells, I set it so they only cast their defensive spells, since I believe offensive spells for those classes are much more selective ( although if you want a more offensive spell casting ranger/paladin, you can use one of the cleric scripts below) - also, if your characters have the special abilities like cure light wounds/slow poisons/vampiric tough, they will use those as well - the melee option is for those who are planning on staying in melee - the range option is for those who want to stay range and will stay range as much as possible ( although they will switch to a melee weapon if someone gets to close, although sometimes it doesn't work 100 % perfect) - the MeleeP option is the same as melee, except that the character will use healing potions/antidotes/elixers of heath as well when needed now things are going to get a little tricky, so I will try and make it as easy as possible to understand the caster ones, first of all there is going to a lot of abbreviations for all the different types, so I will go through them all here: DIV- this is for all the characters that use divine spells ( clerics/druids/paladins/shamans/rangers) MAG- this is for all the characters that use arcane spells ( mages/sorcerers) BOTH- this is for cleric/mages or illusionist/mages of for characters that can cast both divine and arcane spells so after one of the above abbreviations there will be some letters afterwards ( M,R,X,D,O,S) these letters represent what these casters will do, as I will explain as follows: M - M means that once the character has finished casting their spell script ( or action list empty) they will resort to melee attacks R - R means that once the character has finished casting their spell script ( or action list empty) they will resort to range attacks and prefer range combat X - X refers to mages who have dispelling type spells ( breach, spell thrust, pierce magic, ect..) I have tried my best to make it so if your wizard has the appropriate dispelling spell, and they see an enemy that has a shield that they can dispel, then they should do it automatically, this applies to arcane casters only and dispel/remove magic are exempt because those spells can dispel beneficial spells to easily, D - D refers to defensive magic, for clerics, this means that if your team mates hit below 51% health they will cast their most powerful healing spell on the most damage character first ( mass cure light wounds has first dibs) also, if your party members get poisoned/ diseased/ level drained/ etc.. and if your cleric has the appropriate spell memorized then your cleric will restore that character, again using the most powerful version first, then if there is nothing to heal/ restore, your cleric/mage will begin casting defensive spells on itself or the party O - O refers to offensive spells, your caster will start casting at the highest level spell it has, and for sorcerers/shamans, it will cast crowd control spells before damaging spells, although I've done my best again, to make the AI smart enough that if a baddie is "held" for example your caster shouldn't still be casting "hold person" on it, but I have set it so your caster you will cast out to the nearest 6 enemies for crowd control, so be aware, this script also includes spells like fireball/death fogs/webs and the such, although again I have tried my best to make it so your caster will cast it when your party isn't to close to the badguys ( although its really tricky to make it work flawlessly) be aware, that this script will cast any offensive spell, so watch out for those radius ones, plus this script will also summon in monsters if you have summon spells memorize, but it will only summon 1, starting at the highest level S - S this script refers to summoning spells, the caster will start at it's highest level summoning spells and keep on summoning until there is 5 summoned monsters ( although your caster will only do this if your caster sees an enemy) this will summon in any creatures except for : the mage elemental summoning spells/ and the demon summoning spells ( since those summons are unreliable) plus when it comes to summoning in planetars or divs, your caster will only summon in 1 since one is the limit next, the placement of the abbreviations in the script will also determine priority, so for example: lets say you are using the script; DIVMDO - this means that your divine caster will prioritize defensive type spells over offensive type spells - once the caster has run out of defensive and offensive spells, they will resort to melee attacks - every caster script will either have an "M" or an "R" but even though they are first in the list, your castes will always resort to attack with a weapon last lets say you are using the script: MAGRXDSO - this means that your mage will use their shield dispelling spells as priority if they see the need to - if no dispelling shields is needed, then the mage will begin casting defensive spells - once the defensive spell casting is finished then the mage will start to summon up to 5 monsters if applicable - once the monster summoning has finished, then the mage will resort to offensive spells - if at any time one of your defensive spells depletes or becomes dispelled, your mage will recast defensive spells on itself when applicable - if all spells are depleted/ completed, then the mage will resort to range weaposn lets say you are using the script: BOTHDSO - first priority is healing/curing/restoring type spells - then mage protection spells - then priest protection spells - then your cleric/mage will summon in monsters starting at the highest level alternating between the mage/cleric list - then if all protection spells are cast/complete, and all monsters are summoned the cleric/mage will begin casting offensive spells starting at their highest level, alternating between the cleric/mage list ( based on level of the spell) NOTE: - regardless of script, if you have any script active that deals with mage spells, your character will always have a stoneskin cast on itself at all times (if applicable) this also counts for ironskins as well - if you have any divine defensive spell script in use, your divine caster will always have protection from evil 10' radius cast on your party at all times ( since this spell has a long duration and is incredibly useful to have on at all times) - for those of you playing SoA be aware that your character WILL cast spells in town with these scripts on, so be careful about those stoneskins in town - plus im pretty sure that no matter what script you have active, if your character has the detect traps/illusions option, they will always do that while idling So with that being said, I think that is the jist of what these scripts do, as I said I play testes some of them, with a team that started in candlekeep and went all the way to the end of ToB and they worked pretty swell, if you have questions or comments please let me know, and hopefully you find these to be useful in your journeys

What is the "spell level" for wands and potions? How do they interact with magic defenses?

$

Having recently lost a game at the Bhaal Temple when a single Remove Magic dispelled ALL my pre-buffs from potions and scrolls, I realize that I don't know something essential to battling mages: What is the "spell level" for wands and potions? What is the corresponding "caster level"? As a contrast, all scrolls in the game are regarded as caster lvl 10. (Is this true also for BG2 high level scrolls?) I imagine that for things like Dispel Magic chance calculations, this caster level is used: e.g. a lvl12 mage would have a 70% chance of dispelling your Spirit Armor cast from a scroll. How about wands and potions? Are all potions "level 1" [caster or spell levels]? (i.e. ANY caster can successfully dispel them all in one go) Are all wands cast at "level 1" or at their minimum relevant level (e.g. caster lvl3 and spell lvl 2 for an Aganazzar's Scorcher?) Can a Minor Globe of Invulnerability stop ALL wands? Or only spell equivalents of proper level? (i.e. stop Lightning Wand, but fail to stop Wands of Heavens?) How about the Wand of Paralysis? How many levels of Spell protections (for Spell Deflection etc.) will a wand eat per use?

I has been bugging me for some time: why does the Amaunator avatar give you a shield that belongs to Bane worshippers? It is even called the Saving Grace! image Are there other little inconsistencies in the game bug you? PS: Hurray my first evil party in BG2, Dorn's wedding crashing ability really lowered my reputation. There seems to be very few banters though.

Did you *actually* know?

I started posting random trivia about Baldur's Gate and Co. on the activity page, but it have become so many that I decided to start a new topic. If you yourself know an interesting piece of trivia, feel free to share. Either way, here we go: Did you know? Alora isn't a halfling, she actually is a really short and petite gnome. Bhaal and Cyric used to be lovers but Bhaal cheated on him with his sister which is why Cyric killed him. Dynaheir sings "These boots are made for walking" by Nancy Sinatra because Dynaheir used to be Nancy Sinatra's old D'n'D player character. CHARNAME isn't actually a Bhaalspawn, they were accidentally switched as a newborn with the temple's janitor's child. Alaundo's prophecy is just a fraud. There is a squirrel with a powerful magic ring somewhere in the original Baldur's Gate. Icewind Dale was named after Dale Ace Windy, a famous Canadian popstar from the 80s. If you shoot a Magic Missile at Gorion in the very beginning of the original Baldur's Gate in Candlekeep, he will give you some very useful potions in return. Adventure Y was originally supposed to be called Adventure Z but the devs reconsidered to avoid a potential legal suite from Bandai because of the similarity to Dragonball Z. Kivan never had a wife, he just made the story up as part of his wrestling persona. Sarevok was voiced by Jaleel White, who is most famous for his role as Steve Urkel in the 90s sitcom "Family Matters". Nothing can stop the Smooze. Edwin is actually a virgin, he is just overcompensating all the time. When your familiar dies you may lose one constitution point, but if you keep it's corpse, Cromwell will forge a Katana +4, +2 bleeding damage/ round for 10 rounds from it. There are actually no spambots on these forums, the mods just ban random people because the motherbrain tells them to do so. If you wish to save Clara you need to choose the following dialogue options after meeting her: 2, 4, 1, 1, 3 There is a glitch that let's you one-hit Beholders, if you cast barkskin *and* stoneskin on yourself and then attack them with a Quarterstaff +1. Gorion and Jaheira used to be a couple back in the day.
