Had Sarevok succeeded his ambition, war would break lose between Sword Coast and Amn. Which side would have won? Sword Coast has the Flaming Fist and Sarevok, while Amn has the Cowled Wizards. Also, there is the ongoing guild war between Irenicus and the Shadow Thieves. Not to mention that Underdark is right around the corner of Amn.

What D&D character are you?
I found this fun "test" but it took forever to complete! Anyway, it gave me a class and race and everything and was quite fun. A link to the website is included below at the end of all the character sheet stuff.
I Am A: Chaotic Neutral Human Wizard/Sorcerer (3rd/2nd Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength-13
Dexterity-17
Constitution-14
Intelligence-17
Wisdom-15
Charisma-12
Alignment:
Chaotic Neutral A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.
Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Primary Class:
Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.
Secondary Class:
Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast.

Neera's TOB quest? Is it over????? Obvious spoilers
So I killed Vicross and Szass Tam pops in and wants to kill me. But he popped in right between my five main heavy hitters and before he could even blink they'd pounded him to the point he teleported me away to the clearing after only about 3 seconds. And then . . . .nothing. No comments from Neera about it being over, nothing. Is this the real ending or did some cutscene not happen or what? Is there more to do with Neera (I'm not romancing her)?

Familiars. Worth it?
What the title says. Rolling a mage, want to know if there's any benefit to dragging a familiar around with me or whether they're just a burden + waste of a spell slot. First instinct on looking at the spell description is to think they're more trouble than they're worth. Thoughts?

Can YOU Brave the Sword Coast? - Real-Life Ability Scores! CHALLENGE MODE!
So guys there was this thing I found a while back (I think this guy that I was friends with gave it to me?) that is like a quiz. Except it doesn't tell you who your Final Fantasy or The Lord of the Rings hubby is, it tells you what your ability scores would be in real life.

Because having a script quantify your attributes makes total sense! I'll admit, the Strength questions are ********, but it's fun. :3
HERE IS MINE
Strength 8, Intelligence 13, Wisdom 11, Dexterity 16, Constitution 15, Charisma 15
I'm a 78-Point Character!
All the alignment tests I've seen are pretty "eh", so I'll spare you all. I tend to vary between Chaotic Good and Neutral Good, though, so I'll go with Neutral Good, Chaotic tendencies.
THAT SAID. I guess take this test and make a character based on the results and run them through the Baldur's Gate computer vidya gehm series! I'm going to!

mods and installing / uninstalling
forgive me if this should be obvious but I can be a noob when it comes to matters of computers.
I have BG:EE and BG2:EE (bought through beamdog). If I install updates (currently I only have BG / BG2 tweak but looking at others) how do I reset to a clean installation with no mods?
thanks for any help! :)

Imoen is broken as a dual class
I decided to dual class her after level 7 to based her off the BG2EE version. But dual classing her was a waste because it made the Thief class inactive. Uhmm why?

Can someone really help me out? (Portraits)
Hey guys, Im reaaaaaaally bad with portraits... no idea what I'm doing here.
This is for BG2. I just wanted to change up Imoen to have "wavy" hair, Virconia's skin color (and purple robes), and jaheria with a little different hair.
However all I see are portrait packs, I dont want to change all my NPCs, just these 3 (perferable in Shadowkeeper so I can switch back if I like).
SO first i need L, M, and S of each right? Then I have to put them in the right place for SK to find them?
Could anyone post these versions of portraits and explain how to SK them in?
Thanks so much guys... again I'm terrible with this :S

backstab isn't adding up!
would there be a reason for a backstab to do very very little damage, like a bad roll or something like that?
Article A: Triple backstab for 2 damage

Article 2: Observe the damage range on the inventory screen

Article D: Lowly hobgoblin takes 1 damage from backstab

No mods and as far as I'm aware the Iron Throne haven't been bolstering their ranks with super guards/hobgoblins

Ajantis broke with Dorn, any other conflicts?
I just picked up Dorn on the way to the Nashkel Mines just to see what his items, stats, etc. are (wasn't going to keep him) with Ajantis in my party. Ajantis broke the instant I added him to my party (thank ye godz for the autosave). I'm assuming it is the Paladin/Blackguard being polar opposites that is the problem, but I'm not sure. Are there any other class/npc conflicts I need to worry about? I'm thankful I had an autosave, but I don't want to have to redo a whole area just cause another party member breaks. Thanks in advance.

Normal End Levels For BG2 + ToB?
Skip to next paragrah if you don't care why: I would really like a table or something i could refer to that would tell me an approximate end level or xp progress throughout the game, as i do a lot of playthroughs of BG, so i like strategizing my character progression, i want to be at a certain point in the game with a dual classed character...Anyways, as far as i know their is no table online (which makes sense because there are a lot of variables). I understand that there is going to be different levels depending on quests, enemies, class, etc...However, if possible, i would like to gather an approximate/normal level end for BG2 and ToB so i can pace out my multi/dual classes better. I would also like to know what party size is ideal for a certain level progression. Thanks
Basically i would like some people to post their end game levels, with how many players are in their party. IE:
Fighter/Mage SoA: 21/23 ToB: 36/39 Solo (Example)
Any help/input would be appreciated
Thanks

Monsters need some love, too!
While the romance aspect of the Baldur's Gate franchise is not a main feature, I think we can all agree that it surely breathes fresh air into everyones gameplay. Currently, the player can enter a partnership with humans, elves, half-elves and also a single half-orc... but why should only they enjoy the wonders of love, even though Faerûn is filled with hundreds of different races for that matter? I say nay to that!
Long enough were monsters denied true love with Gorion's Ward! Vote here for your true love candidate. Together, we can protest against the current state of the games and their speciesism against lonely, romantic monsters!
