I noticed while playing that Rasaad (And maybe just monks in general? Haven't checked with other monks) can equip a weapon in main and offhand slots OR just equip a weapon in the offhand and use fists for mainhand. I am currently running Rasaad with Belm +2 in his offhand and fists mainhand, giving him 9/2 (4 1/2) attacks per round, where without Belm in the offhand he is sitting at 5/2 (2 1/2) attacks per round. Is this intended or a bug? The use of dual wielding and or just fists and an offhand...

Adventure Y
The devs have been awfully quiet as of late! :D
Now that BG2EE is out, and the hype has died down, can we start speculating on "Adventure Y"?
What do you guys think it'll be? BG1EE or BG2EE content? New NPCs, or expanded SoA/ToB?
Discuss :)

Edwin and Neera (Spoilers)
So I completed BGEE yesterday, and had Edwin and Neera in my party the entire time. There were no conflicts between the two that I ever saw.
Now in BG2EE I'm a little puzzled that Edwin refuses to be in the same party as Neera. Is there anyway to get them to work together, or is this truly an either/or situation?
If so, I guess I won't get to see what a high level wild mage is all about after all, since Edwin definitely stays in my evil party. Neera had been my romance option in BGEE, so this is a bit of a bummer. Hmm, maybe I'll transfer to multiplayer and roll up an evil dragon disciple. Hmm, so much for all my planning....

If They Made a Baldur's Gate Movie: Redux, The Definitive Casting
Alright, alright, before you roll your eyes at me and sigh, this perennial discussion seems to have resurfaced over in 'Teh Meme' thread again, with some pretty good suggestions too, so rather than clog that thread up with OT stuff let's gather them all here. (Or of course we could summon Xzar to perform thread necromancy on about a dozen other similar threads!
I'll fire the opening salvo and throw George Clooney as a suggestion for casting as Keldorn Firecam, and the no-brainer of Joe Manganiello as Anomen.
Have at it!

Neera romance BG2EE, help needed! *spoilers*
Sooo, how can I buy the Robe of Neutral Archmagi at the red wizard shop-thing in Waukeens Promenad without ending my relationship with Neera? (I'm buying it FOR YOU idiot..!)
I didn't have enough cash the first time I was there and now she leaves if I try to buy it.. Hoped she would leave for a while automatically after the underdark (Bodhi kidnapping) but that didn't work out either..
Suggestions?

Sorcerer or Blade?
So I recently got both the enhanced editions for Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 off of Steam and with some free time coming up I've decided I'm going to try to play through the whole series, from the original to the end of Throne of Bhaal. Now, I'm not exactly new to the series; Baldur's Gate 2 was actually one of the first games I ever played. However it has been some time since I last played and so I'm curious to hear what other people's thoughts are.
While just about every class looks interesting I think I want to try this run with either a Bard, specifically a Blade, or a Sorcerer. To me they make some of the most "sense" given your character's background and they each offer some fun options. The Blade brings a lot of variety from swords to magic as well what is still a decent lore value, so I might be able to save money/magic on identify. Whereas from what I understand the Sorcerer can wield phenomenal cosmic power when built right, and who doesn't enjoy that? So between these two, which would you prefer and why?

What should overhaul do next?
So BG1 and BG2 now both have an enhanced edition.
We will see the inevitable patches in the coming months, but now Overhaul is drifting directionlessly in the black void of post-development uncertainty.
Clearly only you and I can solve this existential dilemma. So what is the answer?
Should they:
1. Continue producing large amounts of post launch content for both games of breathtaking scale?
2. Start enhancing another infinity engine game?
3. Start enhancing another D&D game?
4. Start enhancing another game?
5. Stop enhancing games, and start making their own games which they may or may not be able to enhance another 12 years down the line?
6. Start making Baldur's gate 3?
7. Start making what is basically Baldur's gate 3, but not actually called Baldur's gate 3?
8. Start making an entirely new D&D game?
9. Start making an entirely new rpg?
10. Start making an entirely new game?
11. Something else?

Rasaad still bugged
All, is the BGEE Rasaad quest still bugged? I got the second dialogue with Rasaad, went to the BG Docks and nothing. I remember on my first play through a while back, it shifted from day to night when I went to the docks and I had the encounter. It is the BG south zone, correct? Is there another trigger other than the 2 dialogues?

NPC Guide to BG2EE
Figured I'd throw this in general just so it gets a bit more traffic.
Anyways, if you follow this link you'll find my NPC Guide to BG2EE.
Like my NPC Guide to BGEE this is more of a general strategy guide for each NPC rather than a specific walkthrough of how you get through individual NPC's quests (or their possible outcomes). In at least a few cases I did drop helpful suggestions for some of the new NPC's that relate to their storyline but generally I haven't discussed it. I may look into including the possible outcomes in the future for the new NPC's but we will see.
Anyways look through it, drop a few comments here if you like it or you are revolted by it. Whatever works for you :p

Just wondering if you load a save in BG2EE where you romanced Neera dose she acknowledge it at all? Also it dose not lock you into her romance in BG2EE right?

Classes that stay interesting for a long time?
So right now I have a problem; I have such a hard time deciding which character class I want to do an entire trilogy run with. It's gotten so bad that at the moment I haven't even reached Baldur's Gate yet in BG1.
I've tried several classes but have a severe case of rerolleritis. So I would like to know, which classes stay interesting for a long time (hopefully the entire saga)? by interesting i mean: that even at higher levels, they still gain some really cool new ability which opens up the possibility for new tactics.
to give some examples, I believe that Fighters are quite dull. They just hack & smash. They get a little better at it while they level up, but that's about it. HLA-wise they just get hack&slash powers.
Thieves I find also quite boring. Once they have max'd out their thieving skills, there doesnt seem to be a real feeling of progress anymore, and they kind of do the same thing always (backstab, watch for traps, pick locks). The bounty hunter seems like an exception though, because his special traps change as he levels up all the way to the end of ToB. I do admit that the thieves HLA's are interesting though, especially Use Any Item, and the special traps are also quite cool for tactical play.
Oh and before you say "mages! MAGES !!!!" Yeah I know. Been there done that, played them so much that now I just wanna try something else.
I've been thinking about playing a shapeshifter, because I've never really played with druids before (never liked Jaheira much). The shapeshifting also seems cool and i could experiment with the druidic spells, of which I don't really know much about yet. The big thing that keeps me from playing one though is just the sheer amount of brokenness that seems to be in this class. It's like the core engine of the game just handles them badly, giving them wrong bonuses etc (at least that's what I've heard...) and the mods that apparently "fix" the shapeshifter just make them OP.
Another option could be the Dark Moon Monk. They keep improving for a long time. They gain the special bonuses to movement rate, immunities etc even at high levels. Then again, they are mostly "run up to enemy, punch enemy". Not really... tactically interesting for an entire saga?
Please, halp!

Funniest paladin kit?
I was gonna ask for the best kit, but they probably go hand in hand. ^^
Im currently on my solo playthrough, but its so damn fun to think, create and build a new character so im already thinking about my next one.
Im gonna play a duo with Aerie.
My male paladin will protect and service my romance and future family with his life and the big juicy Carsomyr.
What kit experiences do you guys have?

Blackguard Kit and Wisdom.
Hi all! (:
I am in the process of making my first ever blackguard, and am wondering if wisdom does anything at all. Does it let you memorize more priest spells, or does it do absolutely nothing?
thank you.
