Just can't help but be curious, because while having Edwin in the group means a nice mage with way more spells, I've never actually played in a group without a pure mage before (Edwin was either always in my group or I was a full mage myself).

Would Imoen make a decent replacement for Edwin late-game/ToB?

Barbarian rage doesnt work against Kangaxx wtf!??
I guess im truly crazy because I was under the impression "immunity to maze" meant oh you know... immunity to maze! I remember having NO problems with my berserker way back when but somehow my barbarians immunity to maze when enraged... is a blatant lie! seeing as i didnt forsee this, what do i do now? does anything work against him? because clearly the "immunity maze" is a BLATANT lie.

Adventure Y
Two adventures were originally planned as features to ship with BGEE. Adventure X ('The Black Pits') and Adventure Y, which was supposed to alter the Bhaalspawn story. Has adventure Y been cancelled? Delayed into a DLC? Rendered impossible due to the excessively stronghanded contractual obligations the vile lawyers have put upon them via Geas?
Anyone know anything about this?

maxed Ranged weapon damage analysis (dart , dagger, axe, hammer)
Comparing With grandmastery: +5 damage +1apr (no gaunlets) and best weapon available)
Dart (crimson) 1d3+3 (no str) 5 attacks per round = 5 (avg dmg)+5 (grandmastery)=10 x5 =50dpr (guantlets of extraordinary specialization are useless) (no str bonus)
Dagger (firetooth= 2d4+3 +1d2fire) 4 attacks per round= 8,5 (avg dmg) +5 (gm) = 13,5x4 = 44dpr (no gauntlets) (str bonus doesnt apply)
Axe (klogarath) 1d6+4 3 attacks per round = 7.5+5+ str bonus x 3
Str 18 : 12.5 + 2 = 14.5 x 3 = 43.5 dpr
Str 19 12.5+ 7= 19.5x3 = 58.5 dpr
(savevsdeath or 2d6dmg extra : always end up being nothing in endgame so im going to not considering it)
Dwarwen Hammer 2d4+3 3apr = 7.5+5 + str bonus x 3 (same as klogarath)
Slings also add str damage making them a better option than hammer and axe.
bullets do 1d4+4 + sling bonus damage
Crossbow also get double bonus from bolt and crowwbow
Bows get 2 apr base + double bonus
So, throwing weapons? It cant compare to real weapons like slings crossbows or bows.
Grandmastery on darts? For roleplaying purpose maybe but str bonuses rule in the end.
It makes me think of how bad the whole strength system is. 18 str to 19 str changes from +2 to + 8 dmg...

Sarevok's Glowing Eyes
I'm not sure if this has been a topic beforehand or if it is a well known thing, but could anyone explain why his eyes glow?
So far I've come to a few conclusions on why his eyes glow and how it affected him in BG1...
He may be an Aasimar, descendant of a god/deity which have similar attributes. Even though he loses most of his Bhaalspawn essence in Throne of Bhaal, he is technically still a child of Bhaal. As far as how Sarevok became so praised in Baldur's Gate among the nobles, considering he has ridiculously evil armour and burning bright eyes...I suspect there was some sort of illusion based magic around him, either from an item, his armour or even Winski Perorate himself, meaning that only CHARNAME and/or those who have seen his true form can see him for who he truly is.
If there's any actual lore on this, I would like to know :D

Does haste grant an extra attack?
I always thought it did. On the character sheet no extra attack is shown, yet i feel like i do in fact get an extra attack per round when playing. Is this the case, or is it just improved movement?
Also, there is no difference between the haste from a spell or the boots of speed, right? Unlike in Icewind Dale I

Would you more enjoy a raw footage of me getting killed 10 times by some bosses or eddited footage with only one good run when i get everything right and win a battle?
Also other things i should or should not do?
also would you mind cutting boring part like shopping/runing back running in town from place X to Y?
the ironman or something option is not possible i will die.

Monk Dual-wielding?
So.... Yeah, today I discovered that I can now arm Rasaad with the Scarlet Ninjato.
In his left hand.
He now has 5 Attacks per round, is dual wielding his Fist and his Ninjato, and is suffering no dual-wielding penalties whatsoever despite having no pips in TWF (presumably because he's not actually wielding two weapons?).
Is this new, a bug, or did they suddenly decide that Monks were underpowered (cough) and needed a boost? Because that and the Stone Giant Belt instantly turned him into pretty much top tier DPS and he's something like 5 levels lower than CHARNAME.

RP Frustrations and Annoyances
I'm really enjoying playing thru the Baldur's Gate series for the first time. Excellent characters, good story, fantastic dialog and exciting battles to boot. But when I play I try to role-play and time and time again engine mechanics, and sometimes the frankly incompetence of the designers, frustrates me. I don't expect the designers to have thought of every little thing the player might try to do. But I do expect the game engine not to hit them over the head when they try to RP a little out of the intended box. Here are some examples, scenes if you like, which genuinely happened to me while playing this series. If this frustrates you too, please feel free to add your own experiences to this thread.
There's a less overtly RP reasoning here too - varying how you approach scenes, setpieces, battles, can make for a more enjoyable experience overall. My primary character, a Battlemage of some impressive ability who specialises in duel-wielded wazikasis, is more than capable of taking on one or perhaps two melee opponents at once at this level. But she never does, permanently confined to the back ranks with her Longbow and spells. Likewise the thief - Hexxat in EE - is simply awesome outdoors, and more awesome indoors. But she's almost never in the front ranks of battle next to the tanks. Separating your party for RP reasons can allow you to use these brilliant characters in ways you might not otherwise have needed to. This was particularly the case in BG1 when, having been banned from the city, my Charname and Imoen made use of copious spells of invisibility, lots of sneaking, and the suers, to finish off the Baldur's Gate quests they'd missed earlier in the game, having left the rest of the party safely in Beregost. And much fun was had.
So here is a list of things, in no particular order, which have frustrated me. Please add your own.

Hexxat's Request broken? (maybe spoiler)
Quick question:
I have a quest in my journal, 'Hexxat's Request' which states that now that Hexxat has the Leopard Claw, she wants to return to Amn.
Problem is: I just noticed it now, and I have long since completed the 3rd quest for L, the shroud of the unproven, and gotten L off my back.
Is there any way to complete/remove this quest entry? My OCD doesn't like the entry in the journal :)
Thanks for the help!

Tomes/Lum the Mad Boosts? (Stat boosts in general)
Who do you use the stat boosts you get from the Tomes and Lum the Mad on?
For the tomes I use them on CHARNAME as only CHARNAME can transfer from BG to BGII.
He left with STR 19/DEX 19/CON 19/INT 10/WIS 16/CHA 19, using all 3 WIS tomes on him and 1 of all the others.
I then got a futher -1 WIS (dream choice), +1 WIS and +1 CHA from the Hell Trials, bypassing the horrible -1 DEX trial (The largest punishment in game for being good, I really dislike this, why punish good characters so harshley?).
When it comes to Lum's boosts I find it a little different as it can be more usefull to boost your party.
On my current CHARNAME (a Cavalier) boosting his INT (10) and WIS (16) will have no affect on him at all, boosting them is pointless.
I can however boost Imoens INT (17>18) meaning she can learn a futher 4 spells of each level, I could boost Aerie (16>17) but Imoen is my main mage on this run through, so getting her to 18 seems like the better idea.
As for the WIS boost I am not to sure who to give it to Jaheira (14>15) or Aeire (16>17), it will grant an extra second level slot to Jaheria or thrid level for Aeire. I feel the extra thrid level is better gameplay wise but RP wise Jaheira is CHARNAMES love interest so I feel I should give it to her.
So who do you boost and why?
Oh and my CHARNAME is now STR 21/DEX 20/CON 20/INT 10/WIS 16/CHA 21 after just one play through, which is nice.

Rolling a character
Hi, I haven't played BG or any D&D in a long long time but I'm pretty sure that you used to be able to re-roll characters when creating them to get higher rolls for your stats, but I can't seem to find the option to do it on BGR.
Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That Wooden Horse Necklace... (slight BG2EE spoiler)
Reading the description, it's just an Amulet of Protection wrapped in a tiny wooden horse. Except it can be worn together with a Ring of Protection or an enchanted armor just fine. I find this to be a tiny bit OP!
So question one, intended? And if yes, can I wrap some more equipment in tiny wooden horses??

Temple of the Order of the Radiant Heart - Tweaked by EE?
It seems to me that this building has been reconfigured. I could swear that usually when I enter from the southwest (where Garrick and Cyrando are courting Irlana) that I am actually entering the stables, but now I'm entering a grand foyer, and the three "thrones" in the building are now coming off a red carpet from that repositioned foyer.
Am I just dreaming this, or did Beamdog rejigger this building? I like it much better this way, for what it's worth.

More (Spell) Slots on the Hotbar!
So, how difficult would it be for the devs to extend/tweak the UI (and hotbar by extension)?
I'm not talking about anything radical, rather, just a couple more spell and item slots.
Would it be possible to 'shrink' all the icons a bit, and make room for more of them?
Best case scenario would be something like the hotbar from Dragon Age: Origins.
Possible? Impossible? Or just time-consuming and impractical?
What do you guys think?
