Memory loss - possible to recruit both Minsc/Dynaheir and Edwin in BG1:EE?
Title says it all more or less.
I can't really remember the original, but at least I know you could bug the whole thing.
But now in BG:EE, is it possible to get them all at the same time, or how does it work?

Raasads quest won't start and Cloakwood (contains spoilers)
Yo! Raasad has spoken to me twice and I have listened to his story but that was ages ago. Nothing happens. How do I start his quest? Secondly, I have cleaned every single tile except the Ankheg farm tile and still no "Go to Cloakwood". What am I missing? /J

Dual/Multiclass questions
I've always wondered two things.
1. If I create a multiclass fighter/mage he can have maximum two proficiency points/weapon. If you dual class your fighter to a mage and surpassed the fighter level you can keep the higher points of course BUT you can still give more points like you where a fighter which is funny considering that your character is now only practicing wizardry.
2. If you created a fighter, gave for example two points to daggers, switched to mage and now you give one single point to daggers then (after surpassing the fighter level) you won't have you three points. Not even two you had as a fighter but ONE! So you will lose points.
So anyone please explain these thing to me.

Do You Wish Infravision Mattered More?
Ever wish that Infravision mattered more in BG, kind of like it does in Pen and Paper AD&D? Maybe make things really hard to see without it at night? I would say modify THACOs if you don't have it and are attacking at night/in the dark, but that would really handicap humans... It and the spell for it, are just worthless.

epic level blade
I was just thinking about how to turn a blade into a one man army and this is what I came up with
1. Mislead
2. Make clone invisible
3. Have clone sing epic bard song
4. Offensive spin
5. ...
6.Profit
Could also throw in a time stop trap somewhere in there
And cloak of non-detection & robe of vecna might be useful
Thoughts?

So how long do I have before Coran leaves?
I just picked him up in Cloakwood, I plan on continuing until I finish the forest and explore every inch of it. So I have time to kill the wyverns before he leaves, right? I plan on resting and all that, so I might need a few days at most.

Alternate NPC and PC portraits... because I'm bored while waiting for more patches to come out. :P
Formerly Alternate NPC and PC portraits... because I'm bored with no BG:EE to play. :P
Just as it says on the [former] title. I suffer for want of my game, so I'll make sure you'll suffer, you'll ALL suffer, MWAHHAHAHHA! And I'll do so with 'art'. As I am an avid fan of the BG2 portrait style, I'm trying for getting as close to it as I can, but, yeah, it's not exactly easy, and I'm no artist, so, you've been warned. I'm going to keep posting more pictures as I make 'em. Here is one new and a few you might have already seen posted on a different thread (put here just for the sake of completion). If after I'm done with all the BG1 NPC portraits BG:EE still isn't out, I'm gonna scar you all even more with my pet project - pictures of what would they all look like after putting on that innocent looking, unidentified magical girdle. ]:D
I'll start gently:
Alternate Viconia - features changed to fit more with what Jaheira's and Aerie's pics established as elvish features. Skin color changed because I like black drows better than blue drows (although from the description someone posted, the drow skin does have a purple or blue tone to it, so the original pic isn't wrong, per se, it just isn't to my taste). Cloak and sky color changed just because. :) Original to the left, tweaked version to the right, for sake of easy comparison.
My fav PC, Karrion - glued together from at least five different pictures - hopefully you won't be able see any of Frankenstain's Monster in him. ;)
Nathaniel, from the mod. I like this mod, but none of the available pictures were quite appealing enough for me, so I messed with the one I liked best and did this:
Lady Malica, the evil halfling. If you care to insult her, do remember - she has darts hidden all over her person, AND her teeth are level with your groin. ]:)
BG1picture edited to get rid of the green light, alter her expression and trim the ears a bit, then a lot of other stuff added. (From the character creation screen, halflings are supposed to 'look mostly like small humans', and it was said elsewhere on the board that they do not, in fact, have pointy ears, but... I like pointy ears! So she has them).
Original to the left, tweaked version to the right, for sake of easy comparison.

Shortest Black Pits game ever
So I spent the good portion of an hour rolling up characters for Black Pits..A spiffy wild mage, a charismatic and agile swashbuckler, a fearsome halforc barbarian, an elven archer, a human monk, and a she-wolf shapeshifter. I rolled and rolled hundreds of times just to get the stats I like.
Finally we entered the pits, three tasloi came rushing in as usual. My super monk (STR 18, DEX 18, CON 16) could martial arts them to death, heck my shapeshifter could turn wolf and rip them apart easily. But what did I do? Ordered my wild mage to cast a sleep spell. Yeah, all great stories start with a wild mage casting the most basic of spells, right?
Needless to say, it wild surged into a fireball and it wounded all of my characters down to 1 HP. Game paused:badly wounded. I unpaused and all of them collapsed one by one, and the game ended, returning me to main screen.
Worse still, there was no auto save to load so my characters were gone for good. And I spent so much time rolling them!
Anyway, I wanted to share this with you and I wonder if anybody failed at the initial battle of Black Pits like I did? Even I am the first one to fall at that point, I think an auto-save at the start of the game could have been nice, to salvage neatly rolled up characters. ^^

Unfinished Quests + Party Stats
I have a couple of questions:
1: I have a lot of unfinished quests in my journal that I actually already completed, like say Durlag's Tower, I finished it before going to Ulgoth's Beard since I didn't know that was the "proper" starting place, I even did the tour with Ike after and the cultists quest in the Beard, but its still there.
2: Regarding when say walking around a place and someone suddenly starts talking with you, sometimes my charname doesn't get to be the one "talked to" instead of the first party member ahead, Does the conversation uses his/hers charisma, wisdom ect... for the conversation options or only the party leader/charname? same for shop keepers?

Ragefast and Abela (spoilerish for those pre-BG-city)
You know, I kind of wish there had been another option for Ragefast and Abela.
That my character could have chosen "Ragefast, you say you love Abela the Nymph. Abela will die if she lives in the city - but you will not die if you live in the forest! If you love her, and hope for her to love you back, why don't you move to her forest and live there, and court her like a respectable man?"
Because I'm a total romantic and I kind of want Ragefast's unrequited - and terribly mishandled by himself (wizards, no experience with how to go about romance, eh?) - love to have a possible happy ending, and not one that ends with him dead or sat in crushing anguish over never seeing her again.
After all, nothing says Abela *couldn't* fall in love with him, if Ragefast actually went about courting her properly, instead of absconding with her to put in a cage.

Why all the hate on Khalid?
I j-j-just don't understand it... So he's got a little speech impediment that goes along with his anxiety, big deal. I found he's most useful in my party if I use him as an archer, but I've also used him as a tank, so he's very versatile. Also, I get a kick out it when he goes "WHAAAAAAGGHHem... um... yes?" lol
But I think his hot wife is a b*tch. She definately wears the pants in that relationship... maybe that's part of the reason too, he's kinda spineless "Better part of valor! Better part of valor!"

blindness effects from different spells--do they stack?
Anyone know if the penalties from these two spells stack?
Blindness
School: Illusion/Phantasm
Range: Sight of caster
Components: V
Duration: 10 turns
Casting Time: 2
Area of Effect: 1 creature
Saving Throw: Negates
This spell blinds its target. A saving throw is allowed, and if successful there are no harmful effects. If a victim is blinded, he receives -4 to hit on his attack rolls and has a 4 point Armor Class penalty.
Glitterdust
School: Conjuration/Summoning
Range: 10 yards
Components: V, S
Duration: 4 rounds
Casting Time: 2 rounds
Area of Effect: 10-foot radius
Saving Throw: Special
This spell creates a cloud of glittering golden particles within the area of effect. Those in the area must roll a successful saving throw vs. spell or be blinded (-4 penalties to attack rolls, saving throws, and Armor Class) for 4 rounds. In addition, all within the area are covered by the dust, which cannot be removed and continues to sparkle until it fades. Note that this reveals invisible creatures. The dust fades in 4 rounds.
