I've never really been a big comic book guy, but these have piqued my interest. Has anyone read them? Would your recommend?

For those interested:
Synopsis: Generations have passed since the original heroes of Baldur’s Gate saved the city and the Realms. Now a new threat rises—and an unlikely group of misfits are thrust into adventure with Minsc, the legendary Ranger do-gooder with a heart of gold, brain of lead, and hamster of pronounced wisdom.

*Generations have passed?... Good lord how long to these giant miniature space hamsters live for? Boo must be 1003 in hamster years by this point!
YouTube Question

I submitted a request with this same question but it was closed without an answer so I'll ask it here.

I'm starting a YouTube Let's Play channel and I was asking permission to play BGEE, BG2EE, and IWDEE. I understand that some companies have policies on this subject and I would like to get permission first before I start dedicating time to these games.

Crowdsourcing custom sound sets

So if any of you have ever tried to make a custom voice set from clips of a television show, you know how much work it can be. Sifting through hours of a television show to find enough clips of a certain characters voice to make a full set, and not really getting enough lines to make it work.
Well, I think I might have a solution. A part-solution, at least.

We can Crowdsource the lines. If a few people take an episode each, and write down the time and line we could compile them best them into a soundset much faster. And this way, of someone wanted a specific voice set, we might be able have one in a few days. To-order voice sets, if you will.

For example: I want a Malcolm Reynolds (firefly) voice set. So I'll watch ep. 1, and every time I hear what I think might be a useable line, I write down the time and the line, and a suggested use like this:

Battle cry- "We are just to pretty for God to let us die" -1:22:42 se1 ep1

And I'll do that for all the lines I find on episode one. And @Nonnahswriter can do it for episode 2, @Elminister can do it for 3, @Ravenslight can do it for episode 4, and soon, we have the whole season. Then we can pick the ones we want, and one person can go back, record and compile it all.

Ta-da, custom soundset.

So starting us off, I already have a few mal lines* so I'll post those. I already have the, recoded so I won't go back and rewatch the episode to find the time and episode, but they'll still work. What sound they'll be(action, selection, enviroment, etc) are flexible. I'm putting action, selection, and rare action/selection under "selection" for simplicity.

Battle cry- You hold. YOU HOLD!
Battle cry- wea are just to pretty for God to let us die
Selection- right
Selection- I just wanna get payed
Action- this shouldn't take to long
Party death- it doesn't have to go this way
In city- I can't help thinkin there's something else at work here
Selection- wheel never stops turnin'
Action- we'll be dead. can't get paid if we're dead.
Selection- your mouth is talkin, might want to to look to that
Selection- it's been a long time since patience shot me, and that was due to a perfectly legitimate conflict of interest. I got no grudge.
Selection- if anyone gets nosy just.., you know, shoot em'
Selection- everybody's makin a fuss
Selection-how's business?
Bored- this is not my best day ever
Action- hey, is there a reward?
Target immune- huh
Pickpocket- I'm sorry, was this one for you?
Battle cry- you don't want to go down this road with me, boy
Spell disrupted- makes my life a little for interesting than I usually like.
Trap set- I'm a bad man
Leader- you live by my rule, keep your sister from doin anything crazy... You could maybe find a place here.
Death- I'm thinkin we'll rise again
Stealth- got us some crime to be done

So as you can see, I've got a few, but not a full set, and some are real hard to find. Here's a link to a guide to making custom soundsets, if you don't know already.

*I know it's been a while, but I'll resume work on my custom soundset I promised tommorow, regardless of the interest in this thread.

The power of the pets

Based around what I've seen around the web, it seems that a large vocal consensus is that animate dead is the best summoned spell (not counting the Diva and Planetar) in the mages arsenal especially at level 15. I question this though...

From my perspective, this is far from true. I personally believe the best mage summoning spell is MordenKainen's Sword. I've used both spells in many similar situations in the same area and found that MKS, just out shined the 9HD skeleton warrior.

Only thing Skeleton warriors has going for it is the duration and the 90% magic resist, and o watch it still get wrecked by eye tyrants and illithid/mindflyers, and umber hulks. I unleashed 2 MKS, and those two made about half the illithid dungeon their bitch.

While MKS does have the downside of capable of being charmed, which makes no sense, but hey its a floating Sword so who am I to complain? Havig a cleric use chaotic command literally eliminates one of its very few weakeness.

I've also come across almost no character that is immune to MKS damage, it even hurts demi liches, when its not imprisoned.... Yet, I've ran into things that are immune go the skeleton warrior damage. I've even seen MKS hurt things with decent magic resist.

As far as immunities go,what is MKS not immune to? I with the occasional death spell or imprisonment, the things ita immune to just seems to keep grow. I just now learned that it is immune to fire giant. Things that killed Skeleton warrior in a few hits MKS boxes with!

If MKS had the same duration as animate dead, I'd probably never use... OK thata a lie. I would still use animate dead because of its swarming potential alone.

But who thought it was a good idea to not allow summons to transition to the next area?

Edit,
Forget to add that a pro for skeleton warrior is you can control where it gets summoned.

EXP caps - I just don't get 'em

What is the deal with EXP caps? Seriously, I don't see the point of them.

I earned those experience points. I killed the monsters, I fetched and I carried, I transcribed the scrolls into my magic book: I did the hard yards. So why can't I have the EXP?

If it means I get too tough for the final fights then make the end game harder don't neuter my character.

As I learn more from this forum, I realize how much about the game I didn't know about. There were items, strategies and spells that could have made my life a lot easier against various monsters. There were dialogue options I had never been given. Easter Eggs I never knew about. Etc, etc.

I was interested in seeing this kind of topic ever since my boy @Quartz‌ said that he never made Crom Faeyr. So I made this thread for us all to confess our Baldur's Gate sins. Come and admit that you never completed your stronghold, you've never even heard of Kangaxx, never killed Firkraag or are still dying to know where Hull misplaced his longsword.

I'll begin:

Confession: I have never done the Viconia romance.

Confession: I have never played a thief character.

The many runs and trials of Dragonspear (Will be crossposted in Playthroughs)

I figured I'd announce it here, both to bounce ideas off other forumites and so I can keep things steady in one continuous topic, rather than having them all spread out.'

The premise is fairly simple, it was either the BG series again or the ME series again. Nothing else is interesting me at the moment. Thus, this topic (and my continued presence) are born.

Now first, I need help deciding the various classes that I will have pre-generated, as I will inevitably die. A few will be constants, because they're either classes I love (Cavalier) or really wanna play to the point that I have them in my head (Blade). Feel free to add more, as I'll likely go down the list and start back up again.

Current List:
1. Arveene Dragonspear
(LG Human Cavalier) 2h Sword, Spear, warhammer, bastard sword, longsword etc

This one is fairly straightforward, and a regular take on my main character throughout these games. Plus, with Dragonspear coming out, I want her namesake ready to go for its release.
2. Aundrea Dragonspear
(NG->NE Blade) Longsword and either Crossbow or Dagger

I love the concept of blades, and fighter/mages in general but I hate multiclassing. There will be a question regarding this character in the following post, but suffice to say, she's definitely starting good. By the time she reaches the trials in hell though, I see her going evil, just because she wants the sword blackrazor. Poor girl has a thing for pretty swords
3. Lia
My elven archer that I've sworn to beat the game with one day. One issue I've had with her is convincing myself why I'd give up my BGEE longbows for the shortbows in BG2EE. That's always been the one thing that's stopped me, having to relearn bows in a new game =(
4. Zippo
She fancies herself a wannabe war wizard from Cormyr. DEFINITELY an invoker
5. As yet unnamed cleric
Prolly of helm, although this might be one of the rare times I multiclass. If so, it'll be a dwarf.
6. As yet unnamed assassin
It'll likely be either an elf or a shorty, but never underestimate my love of stupidly playing humans.[/Spoilers]

Other than that, the only limitations I'll be putting on myself is no re-loading. So when ole-Minsc dies, it's so long until BG2 =( And as I said, if a character dies, it'll be moving on to the next on the list. As far as difficulty, I haven't decided if I'm going to go for the hardest, or just stay on core.

I love you Beamdog!

So, I am doing my first ever evil run. A neutral evil shadowdancer...I decided to do this run so that I'd have an excuse to buy the Dorn and Hexaat DLCs. Because...hell...I've done of the other content and can't mod the game. So why not see what the evil side has to offer?

I got to the end of BGEE, pulled up Ifunbox and was about to do the long process of moving the character over. I hit export...and the option came up to immediately go straight to BG2EE.

Thank you Beamdog! I am so glad that this feature was implemented. :)

Uhm...that is all.

-Open the NWN2 Toolset (NWN2ToolsetLauncher.exe)

Locations You Wish You Could Learn More On

There are so many great locations and details in Baldur's Gate world, aka Faerun, but I am one of those who focuses on things that aren't always entirely relevant. One of the missions I wish was more and told more was the one involving Ulcaster School. It is a place we know so little on and information online not entirely forthcoming. I found information stating the founder of Beregost built it and it burnt down by Calishite (hope I am spelling this right). It got me thinking, since Khalid admits to be from there, would it not have been awesome for him to say something about that place. I know during the time banter had not come into game, but since it is so small I doubt any banter mods do this.

I don't know it was meant to be great school yet underground it felt cramped, more like a dungeon and less like a building. I expected answers, Firewine Bridge was handled so much better in my opinion. I think Ulcaster School was given short straw, it never felt like an amazing former magic school, it felt like a low level dungeon. With so little information we get it just confounds matters more.

Where would you want the Forgotten Realm game to be? (Also my argument for why Thay is Perfect)

$

As we well know Neera's, Edwin's stories all tie into Red Wizards of Thay him being one, and her escaping them. My argument for why Thay be perfect is two-fold, one it been set up just as well as Neverwinter was with all the references to the places in Icewind Dale and later Neverwinter. Two, we already know the Red Wizards are immensely powerful organization who machinations few know and could imagine. We could easily go down the route of Neera story being wild mage, perhaps they crack it and are able to utilize chaos or perhaps with problems on Sword Coast they start causing problems in Thay.

Another reason we have had most biomes, snowy tundras and temperate areas even more hotter climes, but not actual desert places and Thay would be massively intriguing since different Sword Coast and Athlakata we know Red Wizards are both political and powerful, who knows perhaps they even hire the hero or heroine, perhaps they could be the ones in danger from even greater power.

Now for details I found on this site:

http://www.realmshelps.net/faerun/thay/index.shtml

Best known for the crimson-robed Red Wizards who rule the land with an iron fist; Thay is a realm shrouded in mystery. Few outsiders have traveled extensively within its borders unless abducted and sold into a short life of slavery there: The Thayans who do talk about their homeland speak of it with such pride as to make most listeners doubt their amazing claims - were it not for the fact that these same rumors surface again and again from a dozen different sources.

The Thayans have endeavored constantly to expand their borders since they won their independence from Mulhorand in 922 DR. In fact, it was only twelve years after that momentous date that the Thayans launched their first invasion of Rashemen. The Thayans have been beaten back numerous times from both Aglarond and Rashemen, but though their armies failed to subjugate these realms, they still brought the Alaor, the Priador, the Sur and Umber vales, and the cities of the Wizards' Reach under Thay's control.

The borders of Thay have changed little since the conquest of the Wizards' Reach fifteen years ago. The Red Wizards keep their armies at home these days, while their merchants have spread throughout the lands of the Inner Sea, selling valuable magic items in well protected concessions and Thayan enclaves. Rivers of gold, goods, and slaves pour into the zulkirs' coffers from this expansion of Thayan trade. Szass Tam and his colleagues have come to understand that gold can conquer lands that resist swords and spells, and Thay's monopoly on the manufacture and sale of magic items might be the weapon that brings the Red Wizards dominion over all Faerûn.

A little disappointed

So I finally beat BG trilogy yesterday and I wonder was I thinking only person a little disappointed with the way some stuff was handled? So the biggest disappointment was Viconia's epilogue if you choose to not become a god and you romanced her.

First I need to know, is Drzzt also huntrd by Lolth handmaidens? If not, why not? I remember reading a little about the character, and basically someone hr befriended helped him turn away from the Spider queen. Yet Vi is hunted until the very end, in which she dies and protag just disappears. I mean seriously, that really isn't a fulfilling ending to a romance that required you to be really understanding or have the patience of Buddha. Depending on what race PC is, I can the tragic irony in PC outliving the lover that naturally would outlive him. But still, after everything was said and done I felt that mpty with how it ended. But that's not the biggest let down, the biggest let down were in the npc themselves.

For example, I put Jaheira and Viconia on the same team because I knew that they would always come to conflict with each other. But, what I also hoped to see were how the characters would react to dome characters change and growth. When Vi started to change and become more aware of her emotions instead of sealing them up, I expected Jaheira to eventually make some type of comment or remark even if it was mocking Vi about her change. Nothing, that's what we get. Not even some ttype of "we fought along side each other for some months-years now and you've gained some batylfied respect from me" type of deal. I mean I remember what year the game was originally released, but I would hope the EE actually would build on this.

With that said, I do feel that the delivery of the story was damn near perfect, despite how some people preferred 1 or 2.

Baldur Gate 1 was this open world, that you god tossed into to, despite how the world felt empty, which it should if you ask me. Bandits were attacking the travels, and the iron shortage was hurting the economy from my perspective. You wouldn't see to many people in all those areas for that type of reason. Charname had to grow and learn to stand on his/her own two feet, he/she no longer had Gorion sheltering him/her or Imeon, so he/she needed to explore the world to learn how it works before anything else.

Baldur Gate 2- the world is more closed off, but much more focus driven now. Charname oa no longer a little welp, but an adult with his/her on thoughts and ideas with real world experience to back up his/her actions. The choices made now has a stronger reflection of the character Charname is then any in BG1.

Throne of Bhaal- a linear story, which it had to be. The world was being torn apart so charname doesn't really have the time to go exploring that empty forest on the otherside of the map close to the borders, you are literally racing against time itself. Everything charname ever done up to now should reflect on the type of man/woman charname grew to be, the type of people charname attracted to his/her side. This is end game and its all about Charname.

If the npc were a little more then just ragdolls half the time I would call BG perfect. Literally, is Jan the only npc who has a comment for majority of the situation? I played with him for the first time and he just had comment after comment, and the one time I expected him to have a crazy story... The one time I needed him to speak... He said nothing! Jan, say something! Tell this idiot pirate King one of your stupid stories so we can get into spellhold. I mean shoot, boo opens his mouth even against yoshimo's wishes and we are there in a matter of seconds..

Jan is literally the one who seemed the most alive, and that is because he made his presence more known throughout the game. Hexxat, and Vi I would expect to be mostly silent since they don't want attention drawn to themselves, but Minsc and Nalia I would expect t to have just as many comments as Jan, maybe more in Minsc.

Classes You Really Want in Baldur's Gate

$

I am sure there is mods for this, but for me there is one class that is within Icewind Dale, Neverwinter, but not Baldur's Gate and that is my favourite class. BARD, this is my favourite class and if I could I would make my character a bard, it seems odd they got people like Volo, Eldoth and that poet, but not the actual class. I am pretty sure BG2 did not implement it either.

I will stand corrected if I am wrong though, I am pretty sure though Bards were only in Neverwinter and Icewind Dale...

Come suggest some theme songs for each NPC!

For the music lovers out there!
What songs do you guys think would be fitting for each NPC? Share a tune that fits their character, their story or their attitude.

All suggestions welcome!

I'll begin with some:

Due t his marriage difficulties and his wife's name, I'll give Keldorn "Maria, Maria" by Santana. The pain in his voice when he says "Maria!" after his wife says "What if I don't love you anymore?" is just heartbreaking. Also, Manowar's "Heart of Steel" just describes his attitude toward evil perfectly for me
image
image

Dorn must have some kind of song about being badass and evil. The songs "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood would fit, but I'm a big metal fan, so I'll give him Iced Earth's "Pure Evil"
image
image

Eldoth just has to be an outlaw country song, so I either have to go with "Didn't Your Mama Tell ya 'bout Boys Like Me" by Montgomery Gentry or for a better song, Iron Maiden's "Running Free"
image
image

Skie would definitely be the Upper Middle Class spoiled girl who totally thinks she's cool for listening to rrap, so I'd have to give her some Kanye (the go-to artist for these people). She's also the totally non-metal sorority girl who constantly misuses Dio's horn sign while listening to Blink 182

How does one become both vocalized and silenced at the same time?

Literary and other references in the BG games

$
0

There are a number of literary, historical and pop culture references in the Baldur's Gate series. For example:

Marlowe and Vongoethe from ToB are a reference to Christopher Marlowe (author of Dr. Faustus) and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (a German who later wrote Faust). Both works tell the story of a man who sold his soul to the devil for wealth and power. If you know who Marlowe and Vongoethe are in ToB that makes sense.

Cyrando from the Temple District could be inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac.

Jan Jansen may be a nod to this infinitely recursive rhyme which appears in Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5:

My name is Yon Yonson,
I work in Wisconsin,
I work in a lumbermill there.
The people I meet when I walk down the street,
They say, "What's your name?"
And I say,
"My name is Yon Yonson,
I work in Wisconsin..."

It fits because Jan Jansen pretty much never shuts the hell up.

Xzar says "I am become death, destroyer of worlds." This is something J. Robert Oppenheimer said in an interview about atomic bomb testing. He was quoting the Bhagavad Gita, a Hindu religious text where this line was spoken by the god Vishnu.

"Oh Captain, my Captain" (spoken by the Spectator Beholder in ToB) is the title of a poem by Walt Whitman. [edited...I wrote play before because sleep deprivation.]

The moose and squirrel in a cage in Waukeen's Promenade in Athkatla must be a reference to Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Anyone else know of others?

Questioning ideas

Hi guys and gals, yeah I know you're probably tired of seeing me make topic after topic. Look at it this was though, I'll probably vanish soon enough, summers almost over and the talons of college will be digging into me once again.

Anyways, I've started to rethink my stance on a statement that I've seen a lot of people seem to agree on. That ideal is that the Sorcerer class is actually harder to play then a wizard.

Now when new people come asking for advice, they are usually directed away from a Sorcerer because of its inability to change spells which it makes up for by being able to cast more spells then aage could, unless that mage specialized and then stacked a singular spell. So thw question I placed forward now is, does that really make the class harder?

Even a mage is hard to play, any class is if your ignorant to the working of the game. A fighter/mage will die if the don't know that the enemy they are about to attack is immune to physical attacks or have death gazes that you need to drink a specific potion before hand to negate. Hell beholders made be cry before I attempted to fight one with the shield of Balduran.

But once you have this knowledge, and you know what is what, couldn't you actually argue that a Sorcerer maybe actually a bit easier to play then a mage? I'm no powergame, I don't pretend to be, and my knowledge mostly revolves around playing a Sorcerer and a wild mage, and I found it alot harder to run the wild mage then I actually did the Sorcerer.

Now let's just ignore the wild surges from this equation, of you take into account before hand the information you already possess, a player is building a Sorcerer in any number of ways that will better fit what role he/she is being put into and do to the sacrifice and gain, will have a better chance of casting spells in a long drawn out fight, unlike any mage not named Edwin.

Mages have the joy of versatility, they can switch out spells to suit the needs, and this is not a abilty to be undervalued I. Any way shape or form.but one thing I've always seem to notice with my wild mage, and this could possible be my inability, but in extended battle a mage with moat likely run out of x or y spell unless it has been completely stacked in the spell slots. One of the fights I had the most problem with was very lovely Sendai, my level 31 wild mage ran out of useful spells before that very long ungodly annoying fight had ended.

Not things I have to take I to account about this fight, 1) it was my first time fighting here, so I did not know what to expect and 2) I was running a four maybe five man team, so I didn't have a secondary caster to take some of the heat off of charname.

My current Sorcerer is finishing up watchers keep right now, before him and the other five members of my group introduce Bodhi to her final death. Unlike my wildmage who was imported into bg2 from the black pits and the black pits 2, my Sorcerer has been played from beginning to end, and won't be anywhere near my wild mages level by the time I reach her but I'm fairly confident that she'll be easier this time around for two very specific reasons I already mentioned. I now know what I'm facing, and I have the spell Numbers to keep h casting alot longer.

Not to mention this time I have a secondary wild mage slinging spells, as well as aerie playing support..

So the question no stands, is the Sorcerer really that much harder then the mage, is lack of knowledge really enough to justify calling a class harder?

AD&D 5th Edition attempts at fixing 4th Edition - facepalm

$

0
So, I've been reading what they've cooked up for Forgotten Realms setting in 5th Edition and how all the Spellplague clusterfuck is supposedly fixed with the Sundering event along with the resurrection of many of the dead gods, for example, such as Mystra, Eilistraee and the dynamic trio- The Dead Three - Bane, Myrkul and Bhaal.

I wouldn't even call 4th edition a proper AD&D and it seems that changes in FR setting were made without the consent of the major FR writers such as Ed Greenwood or R.A. Salvatore, who now for 5th edition have to write books, where they try to explain what the ef happened during this transition. Although the books themselves are no less facepalm worty as R.A. Salvatore, for example, had no other ideas other than to reincarnate long dead Drizzt's friends - Cattie-Brie, Regis and Bruenor - into other characters. Regis now is a halfling/water genasi, lol.

Furthermore, for the Bhaalspawn saga they finally came up with a dumb story about how that godawful character Abdel Adrian (who somehow managed to live for over a century) was finally killed by none other than Viekang, who turned into a monster that was subsequently killed as well, lol. Good riddance. But that's all minor compared to the resurrection of Bhaal himself as greater power. Bhaalspawn saga is totally screwed.

Personally, since 4th Bullshit Edition came out and butchered FR and Planescape settings I'm in denial and no longer consider anything that came out after the 3d Edition as canon, cuz all of that later stupidity was written by total hacks who have no proper knowledge or respect for the settings.

Sarevok Ascension mod Questions[heavy spoilers]

Now I haven't actually played through the Ascension mod or throne of bhaal quite yet... But I came across some spoilers about Sarevok betraying you under certain conditions. Now I'd like some clarification on that..

If you put him under a geas does he betray you no matter what? Even if you are roleplaying evil and generally encourage him in whatever way in conversations?

I would like to avoid him betraying me, when I'm roleplaying an evil party as I have no intentions to change his alignment.

Preferably I'd like someone who knows pretty much ALL THERE IS TO KNOW about this topic. The scattered info I found across the web annoys me to no end. So unless you are 100% sure, please avoid posting.

I know this isn't technically part of any Enhanced Edition topic as I hear ascension isn't compatible yet, but this is one of the most active boards for current Baldurs gate discussions. I'm sorry if it annoys anyone.

Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide To Reveal 5th Edition Realms Lore

Wizards of the Coast recently revealed the upcoming Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, a new campaign source book for fifth edition D&D pen and paper. It continues with the new strategy of having the various products tie-in to their other releases. In this case by offering lore on the Neverwinter and Sword Coast Legends games. I'll be interested to read more about changes caused by The Sundering, since they've been giving out the specifics a very slow piece at a time so far.

Also, we might get some clues to classes and races which could be seen in future Beamdog offerings if they get the chance to keep playing in the Forgotten Realms.

New class options, character backgrounds, and deity descriptions from the Forgotten Realms.

Get everything you need to adventure in the Forgotten Realms on the exciting Sword Coast, home to the cities of Baldur’s Gate, Waterdeep, and Neverwinter! A collaboration between Green Ronin Publishing and the Dungeons & Dragons team at Wizards of the Coast, the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide provides D&D fans with a wealth of detail on the places, cultures, and deities of northwestern Faerûn.

The Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide is also a great way to catch up on recent events in the Forgotten Realms, to get background on locations featured in the Rage of Demons storyline coming in September, and to learn the lore behind video games like Neverwinter and Sword Coast Legends.

Here are just a few of the features you’ll find in the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide:
Immersive Adventuring: This campaign sourcebook provides players and Dungeon Masters material for creating vibrant fantasy stories along the Sword Coast.

New Character Options: The book offers new subclass options, such as the Purple Dragon Knight and the Swashbuckler, for many of the classes presented in the Player’s Handbook, as well as new subraces and backgrounds specific to the Forgotten Realms.

Adventure in the Forgotten Realms: Discover the current state of the Forgotten Realms and its deities after the Spellplague and the second Sundering. You’ll also get updated maps of this area of the Realms.

Compatible with Rage of Demons storyline: Make characters for use with the Out of the Abyss adventure and fight back the influence of the demon lords in the Underdark below the Sword Coast.
Insider Information: Learn the background behind locations, such as Luskan and Gracklstugh, featured in the upcoming digital RPG, Sword Coast Legends, from n-Space.
With new character backgrounds and class options, players will love the storytelling possibilities of playing a noble of Waterdeep, an elf bladesinger, or one of the other new options, while Dungeon Masters will relish a book full of mysterious locations and story hooks to keep players adventuring on the Sword Coast for years to come.

Look for the Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide to be available on November 3.
