So using Cone of Cold, Color Spray, Prismatic Spray(Shadowkeeper,) they wont hit anything unless it's like 2-3+yards away. So if they're in melee range these spells are useless, isn't supposed to be like that. Also the Cone's width is bad, basically a straight line in front. BG2's Cone of Cold was quite large and one of my favorite spells.
So if you haven't noticed this, go level a Sorcerer real quick and try this out in both games with each spell and see the difference, really makes these spells unusable.
