Help for players new to old school RPG's

Me and some friends are looking to get this game but have never played these old school style RPG's. Does this game have a tutorial or is there a way to learn about things like alignments, classes and other features related to this style of game. I try to read the forums but so much of what is said goes right over my head, seems to be a place for veterans only.
So if there is anyplace i can go for help that would be great.
