How to recover the scroll case?

So I seem to have lost the scroll case somewhere. No idea how or where, it's just gone. I looked at an earlier quick save and I can see it there so I'd like to transfer it over (like I have with other items in the past). However, the usual trick of copying the save to multiplayer, importing the character with the item, transfering the item and then deleting the character doesn't seem to work.

Basically, scroll cases and other containers can't be imported, correct?

Any way, is there a work around that I can do on an iPad?
