Kensai Signature Weapon & Grand mastery

Just a thought, should a Kensai who has devoted their lives to the mastery of a single weapon be restricted to only going beyond weapon specialisation in that chosen weapon?

So for example if they decided to choose 'Katana' as their chosen weapon they can put 5 proficiency points in Katana and only 2 proficiency points in other weapons.
