I wonder, anyone ever managed to beat this battle with just a party of level 1 Charname, Imoen, Xzar and Montaron, fresh from Candlekeep? It always seemed like a rather unfair battle at that point even if random, considering you spawn in the middle of 10 bandits that might as well kill any character that's not a fighter in 1-2 rounds. Oh well, that's what Power Word: Reload is for.
