Hi all,
So, I'm new to the game (actually, I'm new to AD&D). I have played D&D 3e and didn't liked the system, so I didn't got any interest in playing bg series. The thing is, my friends keep telling me that this is probably the best RPG game ever, and I'm kinda missing some good RPG games, so I decided to try it.
That why I came here to you, asking opinions on how to make my first playthrought a good roleplay experience (since it will probably be the only one). No worries about the rules and the system, I got the most part of it. Also, I pretend to play the game in the easiest dificulty... I don't want to be challange in a game where I don't like that much, and if I got killed too much, probably I will end up being bored and just give up... As I said before, I want the roleplay part of the game, not combat and this stuff.
I only want some tips, and have some doubts I want clarify before start playing:
1. About my party, which characters do you recommed me to get? Keep in mind I want to play the whole series, so it would be nice to play which the same group the whole game. I've being told that I find Jaheira, Minsc and Imoen in the begining of bg2, so I would probably start with them.
2. About alignment, this stuff have never made much sense to me, so I'll play any one that combines with my parties.
3. My class will be determined to fit any role that the rest of the group misses, except pure healer, which I find extremally boring and sucks in situations where I can find myself alone in some part of the game... (like the "fade" in DA:O). I like the concept of the jack-of-all-trades that some classes can archiev, but I don't want to feel weaker than the rest os my party. I was considering to play a F/M/T but I was told that it kinda sucks in a 6-man party...
4. Tips on where to find some nice items and weapons to boost my party a little bit would be welcome. Tips about romances would be nice also, keeping in mind I'll play as a man!
Well, I think is pretty much it, guys.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
Cya!
