If you're a grand master in a single weapon (not dual wielding), are there high level fighter abilities that would outweigh the wait of dual classing at a higher level? My plan is to dual at level 13 early in BG2 with a character I got bumped to 10 already from doing the black pits with 7/2 attacks per round naturally. With improved haste this gets bumped to 7 attacks per round, so I'm not missing greater whirlwind all that much.
But...Critical hit and damage resistance due to Hardiness seem cool.
Also assassination, Avoid Death, Use Any Item, Greater Evasion, Time Trap, Explosion Trap, and spike trap all seem overpowered by comparison to most of the fighter HLA's....
