Can't leave the Cloud Peaks

Hey guys. I've got some problems. I keep seeing threads that tell you how to GET to the Cloud Peaks, so I thought I'd make one asking how you get out of them. I've finished all of Rashaad's business, but I can't leave. As some of you may have noticed, there's no way on the edges of the main area to get out. So I figured I'd go into that suspicious looking cave. However, I can't.

My cursor seems to change right from the "four circles" to the "crossed out circle" without ever involving the "open door" cursor.

Also, the final fight in the area was very anti-climactic as the main monk just stood there and kept casting "Detect Illusion."

So, any help? Please? I'm kind of stuck there...
