Staff weilding build.

Hey. I finished BG1EE last night with my Sorc and I want my second game to be with a character using a staff. Most likely ending with the staff of striking. I would really love to get some nice ideas for cool builds for staff wielding character.

I know that wizards and sorcs can wield staves but they don't really fight with them. I want a character that will fight with it.
