Thanks. Neera.

Dear journal...

I don't know where to begin, but I need to tell you about yesterday's fiasco.
I can tell you that Neera the wild mage is dead. Crushed by a falling cow in fact, which is good for her or else I'd probably throw her from a cliff or into a wyvern's den.

So I got attacked by yet another assassin (I lost count already), outside the Nashkel Inn.
Neera started casting a spell, I'm not sure which she had planned, but probably not what actually happened.
At least I know what it feels to have the weight of an entire cow land at the top of my head, and so does every other person that *used* to live in Nashkel.

Even though I had probably broken most of the bones in my body, as I was lying there, what rushed through my mind was how screwed we all are, though at the time I didn't notice who in my party was still alive.
So many innocent people dying just can't go unpunished. The number of the bounty on my head rapidly going up also flashed before my eyes.

Anyway, Rasaad left the party in a split-second, I forgot what he said, but he probably wasn't going to fetch me some extra healing potions, not that he'd be able, Neera had earlier destroyed hundreds of our gold. I'm not sure how that's possible, I mean what kind of spell goes into gold pouches and makes the content disappear? Then again, what kind of spell makes cows fall from the sky? I shouldn't have skipped out on so many lessons back in Candlekeep.

Dorn was also still alive. I noticed that while he was towering over my broken body. I was surprised he seemed unharmed but he had just taken the blow far better than I had. Felt like several minutes passing, where he said nothing, at least I think he didn't, I might've had a severe concussion. All I heard was the sound of singing birds.
