So I'm working on making a portrait set for BG:EE in a cute, simple, cartoony style. I'd like to see how it affects the mood of the game. I think they might be good for more....light-hearted playthroughs. Or just for when you're in the mood for 'toons. I've held off on posting it until all the sketches were done. The set will contain 94 portraits in all:
-60 NPC portraits. 2 for each NPC, one based on their pose and expression in their original portrait, and one alt. Jaheira, Imoen, Viconia, and Edwin will all have three total portraits--for those of you who like Vicky, Immy, and Jaheira's BG2 designs better, or prefer Edwin to be more lore-accurate.
-34 PC portraits--because with a departure THIS radical from the original portrait style , it would just look rather out of place for CHARNAME's portrait not to be in the same style as the others. 14 of them are done in the same way the NPC portraits are, based on the portrait choices in the original BG1. The other 20--10 female, 10 male--are based on CHARNAMES of mine that I have either played in the past or plan to play in BG:EE. I tried to get a good variety of classes and races in the PC portraits.
I've finished one portrait so far, to give you an idea of what they might look like when they're finished. It's currently at twice the size it needs to be, I'll resize it later.

This one is Imoen's first alt. I may or may not end up recropping this one because I'm a little put out by all the blank space at the top.
Anyways, since I kind of want some feedback, I'm going to go ahead and show you the other 93 sketches. Scaled down, of course.

Work on this will probs begin in earnest after finals are over. I can post the finished portraits here as I complete them (the enlarged ones, of course--I'll probably be resizing them all at once at the end).
