Does anyone know any streamers on YouTube or twitch who are streaming any of the games? Especially LoB runs. I've watched a few who have either fizzled out or not taken the series right through. Retrograde Tom was good but he only did BG and SoD not SoA sadly.

The General Questions Thread
So I got to thinking, while I often have general questions about various aspects of the game, it's rather bothersome to clutter up the activity page with random questions, especially when I have as many as I do. So I came up with this idea. This is a general questions thread that anyone can contribute to, both with questions and answers. Ask a question, hopefully it'll be answered. (and with the efficiency of the community here, I wouldn't be surprised if it's answered rapidly.) I doubt things will become too cluttered, so it'll be a nice way for us to help each other out. Now, I don't THINK this has been done before, but if so, then do what needs to be done, dear mods, as you generally know best. Without further explanation, here's the first question I have.
If I were to complete Anomen's quest line, would he retain the stat boost if I teleport him to me in ToB? The character I'm working with would be unlikely to take him through all of SoA, but due to Aerie's... "problems" in ToB, my main character would want to leave her where she's safe, but that leaves a clerical gap in the party. Obviously Anomen would fill that hole nicely, but I don't know if he'll keep all of his bonuses from me completing his quest. In theory, I will be taking only five characters through the end of SoA, so if I have to bring Anomen along it's not a deal breaker, but for RP reasons it makes more sense to simply bring him to me when I need him.

The Infinity Engine
I just wanted to write a little Note to All the folks out at Beamdog , PLEASE do not Stop using the Infinity Engine when creating new games!!!! As a Long time player of D&D (early 80's) the BG games have brought me back to when I was in High School in my friends basement on a Saturday Afternoon , Rolling the 20 sided dice...... These games are the only ones that give me this enjoyment. Yes I play WOW also played D&D Online , I know the graphics
and 3d worlds look Amazing.... But The Infinity Engine in my Opinion in the way A D&D Computer Game should be played, Period. If you guys are making a New Game please consider All the Older and Long time D&D fans that still Love this Engine and Still play The games Often. ( Just created a Bunch of new Groups for IWDEE That I'm going through again Since I played it when it first hit the shelves way back when, And also have 6 or 7 Parties still going through BG2EE!!!!).

Protection from Evil
I apologize if I'm "double posting" or whatever folks call it and get angry about. I tried searching but didn't really find the answer I was looking for. In BGEE and BG2EE, do the Protection from Evil spells give a +2 bonus to saving throws? I've noticed that the spell description does not mention this, but I know that this bonus was originally given before.

The pain in his voice when he says "Maria!" after his wife says "What if I don't love you anymore?" is just heartbreaking. Also, Manowar's "Heart of Steel" just describes his attitude toward evil perfectly for me

Dorn must have some kind of song about being badass and evil. The songs "Bad to the Bone" by George Thorogood would fit, but I'm a big metal fan, so I'll give him Iced Earth's "Pure Evil"

How do I disable debug mode once it's been activated?
Because I screwed up the precise sequence of events required to recruit both Edwin and Minsc by talking to Edwin before recruiting Dynaheir, I activated Debug Mode and spawned a new Edwin with Dynaheir in my party to recruit him. Ever since then, I have been unable to turn off Debug Mode. I have deleted the line from baldur.lua, I have changed the end of the line from 1 to 0, but neither of these things worked. Debug Mode made the background of the world map turn black, which looks awful, and I want to be rid of it. What do I do?

Come share your odd gaming habits! What do you refuse to do in BG? What wierd ideas do you love?
It seems like a lot of people like to make their games more "realistic" or more "awesome!" by creating their own rules or play-styles. Many people refuse to use certain tactics, or like to adopt some odd, unorthodox techniques for roleplaying reasons. Many others like to sacrifice POWER! for STYLE . Other times people do things or refuse to do things because it would be out of character (like refuse to case Animate Dead with cute little Aerie like @Dragonspear ). Others, like @belgarathmth don't enjoy using bags of holding or switching/carrying copious amounts of items because they think it breaks immersion.
So I thought I'd start a thread where everyone can share their oddities! A chance to share your ideas and eccentricities.

Creative and clever ways you've buffed your summons?
Aside from using the aoe buffs like bless and chant to give your summons that extra punch in a fight probably more trivial for normal games since you can run through anything using summons at all - but for scs no reload challenges I found giving sword spiders improved haste turns them into machines especially with the no poison save and so many apr.
What have you done that's turned just an average critter into a creature of destruction?

is fair fight possible at all if magic used
This thing has been bugging me for a long time, longer than I care to remember - some kind of concept of honorable combat, origins probably in Dragonlance´s Sturm´s moustache.
More often than I care to count my party is under crowd control, which while soloing usually means game over. Since such a thing is a nuisance, veritable party killer,
I tend to end up picking spells like Hold Person etc, because the seem so powerful and make the game in general a race of who casts first and moreso who fails save first.
I´m intrigued by wizard slayers and inquisitors, and a playthrough without magic, but I´m left oftentimes to ponder how on earth such a set up will deal with damage if clerics and mages are left out of the party?
Is it truly vainglory that I´m after, or some unbearable headache?

Story Time? When SCARY_WIZARD Met Jim Cummings (Minsc)
Uhh, so @mlnevese suggested that I tell you all a story about how I met Jim Cummings this year. I mean, all things considered it's standard "Go to a Convention, stand in line, get an autograph." stuff, but come on, let's be a good sport! I'll tell you the story.
This year, I went to Emerald City Comic-Con 2017 with my sister and her husband. One of the guests was, as the title of this thread might suggest, Jim Cummings! The voice of everybody's favourite Rashemi Ranger, Minsc! He's also Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Darkwing Duck, Bonkers, and Lorewalker Cho, among others, so he's basically like a cool Swiss Army Knife, but with voice acting instead of opening pop bottles and driving/undriving screws! And he's much nicer to talk to than a Swiss Army Knife. I used to talk to mine, and it was certainly on the cutting edge of conversation, but Jim Cummings is probably much better at cards. Not sure how he is at cutting cards, though. I'm sort of bad at it, myself.
There were a bunch of other cool people at the Con, too, like Alice Cooper and Jason Momoa (<3) and Anna Silk (<3<3<3), but I only get weekends off from work and I'm saving my vacation time for later in the year, so I only went on Sunday with my sister and her husband. Well, that and we could only get Sunday passes. I mean, I got to meet Gul'dan from <I>WarCraft, which was pretty cool (he's surprisingly polite in person! But like my great grandmother always said, "Still waters run deep.", and I did see him do lots of bad stuff anyways.), so I couldn't complain even if I wanted to.
Anyways, I was sitting at a panel with my sister and her husband, and sobering up after a margarita. I mean, I ate nachos with the margarita, but I drank the margarita first and then ate the nachos. Boy, do I never learn. Around 15:15, I went, "Wait, gotta bounce, autograph time!", and booked it to the place autographs were being doled out. Jim Cummings had a really big line and there was a soft cap in place, so I got Troy Baker's autograph in the meantime, because I wanted his, too. After that and a compliment to my autograph book from Troy Baker, I stumbled into the overflow line for Jim Cummings.
It was kind of a small room, so an overflow was necessary, and the convention folks were really nice about it, especially with my being kind of drunk and in general being a colossal bubblehead even when I'm sober. Anyways, I paid for an autograph and selfie. I remember slurring something about the book I handed Jim Cummings being a Baldur's Gate collectible, Jim smiled and wrote "Go for the eyes!!", did a spot-on Minsc impression (I mean, yeah, he is the voice actor!), and stood at the side of a table with me for selfies.

Alright, so that's all there is to my story. Am I going to be graded for this, @mlnevese? Is this being graded? Oh, boy, I hope not, I get really nervous when people grade me on things. did i even post this in the right place
